Black Hills State University Director of Athletics Jhett Albers announced Tuesday that Robert Blake will be the first-ever women’s soccer coach at Black Hills State University.
Blake comes to Black Hills State after spending five years as the head girl’s varsity coach at Greenfield High School and three years as the head women’s coach at Milwaukee Area Technical College.
“We are excited to announce Coach Robert Blake as our new women’s soccer coach,” Albers said. “His knowledge and experiences as a player and a coach will be great assets to our first-year program.
“Coach Blake brings an infectious enthusiasm and an organized game plan to build the Yellow Jacket women’s soccer program into a respectable, competitive program and we welcome him into the Yellow Jacket family.”
While at Greenfield High School, Blake earned two Regional Championships and coached his squad to the section semifinals in 2014. Between varsity and junior varsity, he was responsible for 53 girls that collectively fielded a team GPA of 3.0.a
