Gangnam style singer Psy’s new song- Daddy In 2012 Psy was a massive worldwide success after the release of his smash hit Gangnam Style. And now with his next music venture, Psy is hoping to recreate that magic. On Monday the 37-year-old pop singer released an odd but hilarious music video for his latest single Daddy. As he portrayed several different characters including a baby, child, father and grandfather, the South Korean singer showed his range in the four minute clip. It is quick scenes and several things going on in the same frame that keeps the viewer’s attention despite much like Gangnam Style, the catchy tune may carry the video. Including the main chorus move which involves a hopping two step and flailing arms around, another crucial element to the K-Pop music video are the funny yet intricate dance numbers.
The music video begins with a silent birthing scene. It begins singing , ‘I got it from my daddy’ when the music kicks in a baby with Psy’s face superimposed on. Because of his dance moves, the video goes on to show the youngster growing up in school and receiving plenty of attention from the girls (including his teacher). As they share a meal together, spot each other while doing sit-ups and even dance around the house he plays the three generations of men in the family which is perhaps the funniest scenes of all. CL known as Chaelin Lee from the music group 2NE1 also is singing on the chorus of the new track. She sings, ‘Hey where did you get that body from?’ in the hook.
Psy surely is hoping for similar success to his 2012 hit. But that is definitely one tall task as Gangnam Style has over 2.46 billion views on YouTube. The talented artist recently explained that there was tons of pressure to follow such a massive hit with his latest project.
