An egg weighing 167 gm was in the hands of Emma Postlethwaite who is a resident of Stafford shire of England. She was getting ready to crack an egg which was laid by a pet chicken and was abnormally large. She heated a frying pan to crack the egg and make omelette. The yolk and the white part of the egg fell on the frying pan. With them another smaller egg fell from the egg. The smaller egg also was normal. This is not the first time this rare incident of finding an egg inside an egg has happened. In 1250 Albert Magens has written about it in his book ‘De Animalibus’. And there are also many other examples of egg inside an abnormal shaped or sized egg laid by a chicken.
